ADAPT Partners with New York Islanders for Hockey with a Heart Event

On December 7th, 2024, ADAPT Community Network had the honor of being featured as the New York Islanders’ Hockey with a Heart nonprofit partner. At each of their games the Islanders partner with a select nonprofit organization for their 50/50 raffle, bolstering support and awareness for nonprofits like ADAPT Community Network and, helping them raise funds for their cause.

Jon Ledecky, an Islanders Co-Owner, was honored for his contributions to his community at the 2024 ADAPT Leadership Awards Gala. Since then, Ledecky has been a great friend to the organization, helping ADAPT gain this incredible partnership opportunity.

People supported and staff from ADAPT volunteered to help sell 50/50 raffle tickets during the game, making their way throughout the stadium and interacting with fans. The Islanders, who were playing the Carolina Hurricanes, won the game 4-3! Through the support of Islanders fans, volunteers, and the incredible partnership with the New York Islanders, ADAPT Community Network raised over $15,000 during the night, with over $7,500 going towards our programs and services.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who purchased tickets and showed up to support! Your generosity helps us continue supporting kids and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Together, we’re making a difference – one goal at a time!
