On Wednesday, August 1st, Sing for Hope and Nia Franklin, Miss New York 2018, visited ADAPT Community Network’s 5030 Broadway Adult Program for a fun sing-along event. Miss New York was a special guest and kicked off the program by singing show tunes to our program attendees. Individuals from our Inwood location joined in the singing and had a blast at the program.
The talented Sing for Hope pianist who accompanied Miss New York played on the piano the organization previously donated to ADAPT’s 5030 Broadway location.
Miss New York has volunteered with Sing for Hope for many years and feels connected to the organization and its mission. Sing for Hope programming is both healing and uplifting. Miss New York noted: “I had such a wonderful experience singing and the participants were so relaxed and singing along, so that made it a really good time!”
Sing for Hope partners with ADAPT on a monthly basis throughout our New York City locations to empower individuals with disabilities through the Collaborative Arts programs. Sing for Hope works with numerous organizations and public institutions to transform communities and individuals through its dynamic arts outreach, bringing the power of the arts to those who need it the most.
