Students with special needs celebrate the holiday season with some special guests.
Santa Claus took time out of his busy schedule Wednesday to visit students at United Cerebral Palsy of New York City.
He handed out dozens of gifts to students in the organization’s early childhood education program.
Each child also went home with a free pair of pajamas, thanks to volunteer Stephanie Prendergast who has been collecting them since November.
“Not all children are safe and warm and if I can bring that feeling to them no matter where they are, who they’re with – then I accomplished what I wanted,” said Stephanie Prendergast, Founder, Pajamas for Pals.
“A lot of our kids have sensory needs and other types of issues and pajamas are something soft, comfortable,” said Liz Voluz, UCP of NYC.
Each student also received a $25 gift card to bring home.
