(New York, New York, April 21st, 2026) The ADAPT Leadership Awards were held on April 20th at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City. The awards gala raised over one million dollars to support the important ongoing work of ADAPT Community Network.
Liev Schreiber, Tony-winning actor, director, producer, and screenwriter, was honored with the Hausman Humanitarian Award. Linsey Davis, ABC News Live “Prime” Anchor, “World News Tonight” Sunday Anchor, and ABC News Correspondent, was honored with the ADAPT Media Award. Misha Collins, actor, writer, director, producer, New York Times best-selling author, and Co-Founder & Board President of Random Acts, was honored with the ADAPT Community Partnership Award. Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP was honored with the ADAPT Corporate Partnership Award.
ADAPT Leadership Awards Gala Event Co-Chairs were Liz Cohen Hausman and James Hausman. Abigail Hawk returned as host of the awards gala. Honorary Gala Co-Chairs were: Cara Buono, Steve Gold, Abigail Hawk, Susan Lucci, Deborah Roberts, Rosanna Scotto, Ali Stroker, Mike Woods, and Cheryl Wills.
The ADAPT Leadership Honorary Event Committee was: Dr. Kathryn Beal, Princess Marie-Chantal and Prince Pavlos of Greece, Yulia and Steve Clark, Laurie and Dr. Peter Costantino, Cristina Cuomo, Chiara and Ben Edmands, Ann Dexter-Jones, Fernanda Niven, Renee Rockefeller, and Tanya Rivero.
Jonathan Safran Foer presented the Hausman Humanitarian Award to Liev Schreiber. Byron Pitts, ABC News Co-Anchor, “Nightline,” presented the ADAPT Media Award to Linsey Davis. Darius Marder presented the ADAPT Community Partnership Award to Misha Collins. John D. Amorosi, Partner, Davis Polk Wardwell LLP, presented the ADAPT Corporate Partnership Award to Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP. Veronica M. Wissel, Partner, Davis Polk Wardwell LLP, accepted the award on their behalf.
Jenna Mandel-Ricci, the new CEO of ADAPT Community Network, Kelly Kaminski, ADAPT Board President, and James Hausman, Gala event Co-Chair, ADAPT Board Vice President & Secretary, gave remarks. ADAPT asked its supporters to donate to the rebuilding and renovating of its’ playgrounds across New York City. These community spaces allow children of all abilities to play and express themselves safely and with joy.
ADAPT board members Kelly Kaminski, James Hausman, Gideon Asher, James Kase, Michael Berger, Houda Foster, and Deven Unadkat attended the gala. Also attending was Jon Ledecky, owner of the New York Islanders, and a past ADAPT Leadership Awards honoree. The gala opened with a musical number performed by ADAPT people supported. Harry Santa-Olalla served as “the fundraising guy.”
