ADAPT Community Network and its Network Partner Human First honored our Direct Service Professionals at the annual luncheon on Friday, October 5th. The event took place at the CUNY Center where close to 100 honorees, guests, and staff participated in this festive event. The theme of the event this year was: “[We Change] One Person at a Time.”
The guest of honor was Commissioner Victor Calise for New York City Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities. In his remarks Calise thanked the DSPs for their commitment and congratulated the honorees of 2018. He also talked about the main goals for his office and other partners: “We are working together to make New York City the most accessible city in the world.”
The opening remarks were given by ADAPT’s CEO Edward R. Matthews, who expressed ADAPT’s gratitude for our DSP workforce.
