From October 8- 9, ADAPT Community Network joined organizations from across NY State at CP State’s Annual Conference in Saratoga Springs. This year’s conference theme, Powering Progress, celebrated innovation and collaboration to support those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

This year, ADAPT was a proud sponsor of the Edward R. Matthews Memorial Art Gallery and Contest, honoring our former CEO, Edward Matthews. The gallery featured a variety of art installations and paintings created by people supported.

We were thrilled to celebrate Lowell Bailes from UCP Long Island, the recipient of the Featured Artist of the Year Award , for his painting, Best Dressed Crow. Lowell was recognized onstage by our CEO, Linda Laul, and Chief Operating Officer, Dahlian Porter.
Our Chief Program Officer, Matthew Parascando, and SVP of Community & Business Development, Ronak Parikh, presented ADAPT’s current partnerships, including technologies such as the Lotus Ring. Alongside them, Residence Director Marsha Gordon Hunter and one of our people supported, AnnMarie Thomas, shared their personal experiences using the Lotus ring and how it improves their daily lives.

Gabriela Sesin, Senior HR Communications Manager, received the Rising Star Award in recognition of her leadership in creating new initiatives and programs at ADAPT.
Several ADAPT staff were also honored during the conference with the Celebrate Staff Award. Adeodoyin Ajayi, Anna Choi, Biana Jeannot, and Mary Frey were recognized for their excellence and commitment to those we support.

Congratulations to all our honorees and presenters for proudly representing ADAPT Community Network at this year’s CP State Conference.
