Congratulations to all the graduates of ADAPT Community Network’s Children’s Programs! Each of our students, from our preschools to our School-Age Program, worked incredibly hard this year and have reached new heights with the help of our incredible teachers, teacher’s assistants, therapists, and education staff.
As the largest special education preschool provider in New York, ADAPT aims to give our students the most complete education possible. We support all aspects of our students’ lives by providing speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, bilingual classrooms, free adaptive technology lending, and more. Our ten preschool programs and one School-Age Program allow us to bring a holistic educational experience to students with and without disabilities.
Throughout the month of June, we celebrated the graduates from each of our eleven schools across the five boroughs. We were honored to host loving families, ADAPT board members, and local politicians at the graduation ceremonies.
After the processional in their caps and gowns, the young learners showed off some of the skills they learned throughout their time at ADAPT. Bronx Children’s Program Graduates gave the audience a singing performance of the “Happy, Happy, Happy” song. Staten Island Children’s Program also performed a collection of their favorite songs, accompanied by Music Therapist Miss Ivette. Graduates from Brooklyn Children’s Program shared their special talents, which included drawing, playing the drum, and counting backwards from 10.
Peter Anzalone, ADAPT’s Senior Vice President of Education Services, said, “I want to take this opportunity to congratulate the class of 2024. I want to thank you for selecting ADAPT Community Network as your preschool provider. Please continue to be your child’s best advocate, and we will continue to support your family in your child’s educational journey.”
