Meet Nicole Rengifo, a dedicated professional who’s been with ADAPT Community Network for over three years. Nicole began her journey at ADAPT as a School Social Worker, providing support and counseling to families and students. Her passion for advocacy and background in social work made her a standout team member, leading to her transition to Project Connect Coordinator for ADAPT’s Project Connect program.
Created to provide people with disabilities and their loved ones with information and support, Project Connect has become ADAPT’s central referral hub for families. In her new role, Nicole represents ADAPT at outreach events, webinars, and school fairs, acting as a liaison for families seeking resources and support. Nicole’s receptiveness, communication, and willingness to help has provided her the foundation to step confidently into this new role.
Nicole’s impact does not stop with the families she supports; she’s also a huge resource to our ADAPT staff. Working closely with Tracy Pickar, Vice President of Family Support Services, Nicole also helps connect staff members with the tools and information needed to better support families.
Reflecting on her journey, Nicole shares that being able to grow within the organization has been a rewarding experience. She’s been able to see the different opportunities to move up within the agency, mobilizing her to pursue her professional development.
Nicole’s story is a great example that ADAPT is a place where careers can grow. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to take the next step, ADAPT offers a collaborative team environment where professional development is encouraged and supported.
