Brooklyn Day Hab 5, also known as Elmwood Day Habilitation, created a green oasis right in the middle of their building. This ongoing project created by the Health and Technology Adult Learning Classroom promotes a sense of calm and community with both edible and decorative plants, displays of artwork by the people supported, and calming music. Health and Technology students regularly tend to the garden and learn about different types of plants. The garden has many benefits—not only does it give people supported a sense of responsibility and purpose, but it is also a place where anyone can pause for a moment of peace and serenity.

The Serenity Garden at Elmwood Day Habilitation Program is a project by the Health and Technology Adult Learning Class.
