The 2022 ADAPT Leadership Awards Gala raises over $800,000 for New Yorker with Disabilities

On Thursday, March 10, over 400 guests gathered at Cipriani 42nd street for the 2022 ADAPT Leadership Awards Gala celebrating the 75th anniversary of ADAPT Community Network.

The awards honor the accomplishments of extraordinary individuals who have made an impact on people with disabilities and have inspired others through their professional and charitable endeavors.

This year’s honores were Ali Stroker, Tony Awards winning Actress. La Chanze, Tony, SAG, and Emmy winning Actress. Amy Robach, Co-Anchor of ABC News’ GMA3: What You Need to Know and 20/20. Andrew Shue, Actor, Entrepreneur, and Co-Founder of CafeMedia. And Edward Matthews, CEO of ADAPT Community Network who received the Hausman Humanitarian Award.

Presenters included Judy Woodruff, Anchor and Managing Editor of the PBS NewsHour. Deborah Roberts, ABC News Senior National Affairs Correspondent for 20/20. Willie Geist, Host of NBC News’ Sunday Today with Willie Geist. David Muir, Anchor and Managing Editor of ABC World News Tonight with David Muir. And Tamsel Fadal, Emmy winning Anchor of PIX 11 News.
