We offer after school programming for students with disabilities, between the ages of five and 21, who attend 175 Lawrence Avenue and P.S. 396 in Brooklyn, P.S. 138 in Manhattan and P.S. X121 in the Bronx.
Our after school programs provide a variety of stimulating activities in an integrated setting, offering children and adolescents an opportunity to have fun, learn new skills and develop friendships. Activities include arts and crafts, cooking and nutrition, interactive games and more. After school programming also gives families important time for respite during a period of the day when childcare is critically needed. These programs are offered where the children attend school during the day. Transportation back to their homes is provided at the end of the day.
Programs are provided through a collaborative effort between ADAPT and the NYC Department of Education. Operates Tuesday-Friday from 3:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. from mid-October through late June, and follows the public school calendar.
