We are happy to announce that Community Resource Center for the Developmentally Disabled recently joined the ADAPT Community Network family in February of 2022.
Since 1998, the agency has provided quality services to New Yorkers with developmental disabilities who are non-ambulatory in the Bronx, Manhattan and Yonkers. The agency supports 72 people across residential programs and community habilitation.
CRC supports the right of all individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities to live and participate fully in their community. They work to help our individuals reach their best possible functional and developmental level through social and recreational programs that promote inclusion and independence, informed decision making, open communication, healthy relationships, and a sense of productivity.
Cheryelle Cruickshank, acting Executive Director, is partnering with parents, people supported, and staff to ensure everyone is meeting their life goals, while continuing to improve and upgrade service delivery.
In her new role, she will be overseeing overall operations, working with the Board of Directors, executive staff, and making sure the quality of services that are provided to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families continues to meet the high standard Community Resource Center is known for.
ADAPT Community Network has provided Community Resource Center with the opportunity to offer better services by providing additional resources such as Human Resources, Billing, IT supports, and staff training to enhance the opportunities for those they support.
Cheryelle Cruickshank stated, “Our focus is to ensure people with intellectual and developmental disabilities receive the resources and supports they need in order to thrive in their communities, live as independently as possible, and fulfill their life’s dreams.”
