This holiday season, ADAPT created an event to bring together everyone who has donated their time, talent and treasure to ADAPT Community Network over the year. Kicking off the first Holiday Cheer Celebration, (previously called the Santa Project Party) it gave the opportunity to say thank you to all those who have been dedicated to making a difference in the lives of the people we support. Everyone who attended helped to make the season of giving extra merry by raising over $50,000 for ADAPT’s programs and services for children and adults with disabilities.
The celebration took place at Slate NY in New York City on December 4th and brought a night full of festivities, games and fun! Between gambling, games, good, cocktails, great music and active dance floor, there was an abundance of smiles and laughter.
PIX11 Anchor Kori Chambers hosted the Holiday Cheer Celebration this year. He is a longtime ADAPT celebrity ambassador and a past Co-Chair of the Santa Project Party Casino Night.
“We thank Kori Chambers for his incredible support and concern for our children and families in need,” says ADAPT CEO Edward R. Matthews. “He truly exemplifies the spirit and generosity of New Yorkers, and we are happy to have him as host and celebrity ambassador.”
“I am delighted to serve as host for this year’s ADAPT Community Network Holiday Cheer Celebration,” says Kori Chambers. “ADAPT Community Network reaches thousands of families and individuals living with disabilities throughout New York City. I am continually impressed by the scope and magnitude of their programs and ability to positively impact people’s lives.”
Laura Hickman, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Fund Development spoke for a few minutes about the importance of ADAPT’s supporters and gave everyone a warm thank you before announcing the raffle winners. Prizes included memorabilia from some of New York’s premiere sports teams, tickets to events around the city, and gift cards to online shopping services.
On behalf of our team at ADAPT Community Network, we would like to extend our gratitude to everybody who was involved in the Holiday Cheer Party. A special thank you goes to our sponsors, organizers, and attendees for making this event a great success.
