Last Monday, September 25th, ADAPT Community Network hosted our 16th Annual Golf Tournament at Brae Burn Country Club in Purchase, NY.  We were delighted to honor Mark Senders, Principal of Pilot RB, with this year’s Corporate Champion Award.  The event was presented by Ken Carmel and the Carmel Family and raised over $200,000 for ADAPT’s programs and services for children and adults with disabilities and their families throughout New York City.  Over 150 guests attended this year’s event which was hosted by Mr. G, four-time Emmy award winning meteorologist, PIX 11 News.

The Corporate Champion Award recognizes individuals who demonstrate the power to inspire and lead as role models for people with and without disabilities.   “Mark has been a dedicated supporter and a friend of the ADAPT Community Network family for many years and has helped raise awareness for our cause among the corporate donor community,” said Edward R. Matthews, CEO, ADAPT Community Network. We are grateful for his contribution to this event and his on-going support as we continue to serve an increasing number of families with disabilities.”

Mark’s career in the Employee Benefits business has spanned more than 35 years.  He and his family helped transform the business from one that dealt primarily with individuals to one that focused on helping organizations in designing, implementing and servicing benefit programs for their employees. Mark and the team at Pilot RB represent many not-for-profit and commercial organizations in the New York metropolitan area. Mark has been a loyal and generous supporter of ADAPT Community Network, formerly United Cerebral Palsy of New York City, for over 5 years.
